APEC SME Business Forum 2024 occurred, with Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME to be located in Qianhai and Longgang District of Shenzhen

On Dec. 18, APEC SME Business Forum 2024 took place in Shenzhen.

Focused on “innovative drive, digital booster, inclusiveness, cooperation, and common growth”, a theme forum, as well as a parallel forum&business-matching meeting, occurred during the term of APEC SME Business Forum 2024. Government authorities, ambassadors to China, representatives of industrial organizations, and SME operators, that came from various APEC member nations, attended the Forum. They had their negotiations on the hot Asia-Pacific topics including specialized and sophisticated businesses, growth in clusters, digital empowerment, enterprises’ global development, high-quality development. The attendees also shared their experiences and measures around the major issues regarding the small and medium-sized enterprises in Asia-Pacific area, like the scientific and technological innovation, inclusiveness and cooperation, negotiation and growth.

During the Forum, China Centre for Promotion of SME Development signed with Qianhai Authority and The People’s Government of Longgang District, cooperation agreements on establishing Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME, which would be the first one of the sort. To be located in Qianhai Economic Zone of west Shenzhen and in Longgang District of east Shenzhen, Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME would offer one-stop and all-inclusive services for the high-quality development of SME global businesses.

Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME (Qihai Branch) would be oriented towards an efficient and credible platform for industrial negotiation and resource sharing, to help more small and medium-sized enterprises seize every chance in the global market and achieve sustainable development. It would build a border and convenient mechanism for the overseas trade, strive to build the connection with more free-trade zones and industrial parks in the countries and regions along Belt and Road, and attract more global resources, so as to facilitate SME global development with improved facilities.

Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME (Longgang Branch) has primarily completed the construction and could assume the basic functions. Further, it is accelerating the improvement. Windows onto over 200 kinds of government services have been available to the public, providing thorough services in market research, legitimation, logistics, finance and many other sectors. The exhibition area is available for enterprise’s display, while the cafe at the hall is for social interaction. There are English and Chinese documents offered, so are various supplementary services like invoice printing.

Introduction:

China Centre for Promotion of SME Development belongs to an unit directly under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC, with the main duty of serving small and medium-sized enterprises. The centre launches “Sailing into Sea” campaign, for the small and medium-sized enterprises in need of global orders. And, the centre establishes and manages the special website -- “Chinasme.cn”, in which billions of purchasing demands from all over the world are being introduced. Shenzhen Hall for Global Development of SME serves as an offline window onto and a carrier of the global resources pooled online in Chinasme.cn. It boasts channels to global resources, being connected with 21,400 global industrial parks and entities alike in 127 nations. The Hall is projected to steadily bring in more global business resources, to promote the products of Shenzhen to the whole world.
