LONGGANG DISTRICT

In June 2019, Longgang District of Shenzhen was chosen as a comprehensive large data pilot area of the province, being a pioneer in opening government data for industrial development, innovation and entrepreneurship. It took the lead in establishing the domestically-structured AI-empowered platform, having 24-h smart analysis of the district’s public video resources and pushing smart operation and management in the 31 scenarios involving 6 sectors like city administration, traffic, market regulation. In that September, Longgang District officially put into operation its AI algorithm training and empowering platform, promoting the application of AI algorithms to the city administration, public service, economic development and many other sectors.

Evolution

Longgang District Political Affairs Statistics Bureau, together with a great number of AI enterprises, vigorously strives to establish a new mode of seeking AI+ development and cooperation, in which a great number of large models would be the grounds, AI application would be the orientation, and the usage frequency would be treated as a factor for judgement. Energetically and persistently, they make every efforts to draw up a blueprint for the more efficient application of AI technologies to the governmental sector, and draw a rosy picture with infinite possibilities.

Fruits of “AI+ Government Service”

Fourth Batch

On the afternoon of Dec. 30, Longgang District Releasing Conference of Fourth-Batch “AI+Government Service” Application Achievements and the Data Element Scheme, was held at CUHK-Shenzhen, during which another 6 pieces of achievements in applying AI big models to government affairs were unveiled.

Third Batch

On November 28, Longgang District’s conference on the releasing of third batch of AI-large-model-empowered governmental modules was held, introducing another 6 modules. They are named “Smart Contract Assistant” “Bulletin Assistant” “Lost and Found Assistant” “Drone Patroller” “Smart Store Inspector” and “Video Annotator”.

Second Batch

On October 31, a conference on showcasing “application scenarios created for enterprises” and introducing second batch of AI-large-model-empowered governmental modules, was held by Longgang District Political Affairs Statistics Bureau in Longgang District Smart Center, during which another 6 modules were released, with the total number hitting 12, which implied the large-scale application of AI large models.

First Batch

On September 18 of 2024, a conference on the release of the first batch of AI-large-model-empowered governmental modules and the usage training, was held in Longgang District Smart Center, symbolizing a breakthrough of Longgang District in developing towards an example of completely-penetrating AI application, and signing that AI large models have been rooted in the governmental sector. Organized by Longgang District Political Affair Statistics Bureau, the conference attracted over 120 related employees and leaders from the sub-district offices and other organs in Longgang District.
