Bus Service in Shenzhen

Bus service in Shenzhen began in 1975. There are about 1,000 bus routes in Shenzhen. Most of the routes are operated by the three franchised companies -- Shenzhen Bus Group (SBG), Shenzhen Eastern Bus, Shenzhen Western Bus. And, other routes are operated by some private companies.

Fare: the fare usually ranges from 1 yuan to 10 yuan, but some buses with premium services may cost 40 yuan even 50 yuan at most

Shenzhen bus operation network mainly consists of main lines, branch lines, and express lines.
Bus lines numbered from E1 to E100 are express lines, on which run the buses in green color; bus lines numbered from M101 to M599 are main lines, on which run the buses in cyan color; bus lines numbered from B600 to B999 are branch lines, on which run buses in orange color.

Passengers could pay for bus service in cash, through IC cards (Shenzhen Tongcard, LINGNANPASScard , China T-unioncard), or through mobile equipment.

Taxi Service in Shenzhen

Calling for a taxi:
(1) Dialing 0755-95128 for a taxi;
(2) Placing a taxi order via mobile apps: 1) searching “calling for a taxi\taxi” on Alipay (支付寶), pressing and entering the mini apps recommended, then inputting your destination and other details to place your order; 2) Selecting “taxi” on the mini apps like “Baidu Map” “Gaode Map”, then placing your taxi order; 3) downloading in your phone a taxi-calling app like DIDI (滴滴打車), then opening it directly every time you need taxi service to place your order in the app...

Charge: 
On the day, it takes 10 yuan for the first 2 kilometers and 2.7 yuan additionally for each kilometer of the resting journey.
During the night (from 23 o’clock to 6 o’clock of the following day), it takes 13 yuan for the first 2 kilometers and 3.51 yuan additionally for each kilometer of the resting journey.
Notice: certain surcharge would be generated for the time that a taxi driver keeps waiting for the passenger, the night-time driving, the possible no-passenger return journey of the taxi, the driving during specially-stipulated time/within specially-stipulated area, etc.

You can download “Shenzhen Tong (深圳通)” app in your phone, or search the mini app in your Alipay (支付寶) or WeChat account.
